Installing it

  1. Open the downloaded disk image. A window opens with Reach Desktop in it.
  2. Drag Reach Desktop onto the Applications folder beside it.
  3. Open it from Applications. Because the app is notarized by Apple, it launches straight away.
  4. Eject the disk image; you can delete the download afterwards.

Dragging out of the disk image is what clears the download quarantine, so automatic updates work from the first launch.

Updates arrive by themselves from then on: Reach Desktop checks quietly, and you can also ask any time from Reach Desktop › Check for Updates. An Epiphani account or a license key unlocks the Pro features; everything else needs neither.
